Learn more about Hives
Hives, also known as urticaria, is an itchy rash that is often described by patients as “welts.” The cause of an outbreak of hives is often difficult to pinpoint. Some triggers include allergic reactions, medications, foods, infection, bug bites, stress, heat, cold, and exercise. Treatment ideally involves removal of the stimulating agent. Antihistamines are a first line of treatment.
