Learn more about Psoriasis
Psoriasis is a chronic skin condition characterized by scaly red patches most commonly involving the elbows, knees, and scalp. In some cases, most or all of the skin can be involved. Psoriasis can also involve the joints causing a painful arthritis. It may be triggered by cold weather, stress or illness. Psoriasis is believed to be caused, at least in part, by genetics. Treatments include medicines applied to the skin, oral medications, injectable medicines, and phototherapy.
