He believes anyone considering dermatologic treatment should know that even relatively large dermatologic procedures can be performed with minimal discomfort using very safe anesthetic techniques. Dr. Bezanis is also proud to have received his dermatologic training from the University of Michigan after graduating from medical school with honors.

A native of Glenview, IL, Dr. Sapna Patel Vaghani is a Board-Certified Pediatric Dermatologist with a passion for working with children and adolescents. She finds that the most rewarding part of being a pediatric dermatologist is seeing the joy and relief on a patient or parent’s face when they come in for a follow-up visit and their skin condition has significantly improved or cleared.

In her experience, Dr. Vaghani has treated many young children and teenagers with skin conditions that make them look different from their peers, whether it may be due to hair loss, the loss of skin color, or a large birthmark. These changes can lead to significant distress for the patients and families. She believes it is important for her patients to know that she is an advocate for them and is there to help guide them through these difficult times and find a treatment plan with successful results.

Dr. Vaghani specializes in the evaluation and treatment of acne, eczema, hair loss, vitiligo, hemangiomas, and vascular malformations, while also performing surgical excisions of moles and birthmarks. She also provides Pulsed Dye Laser treatments for port wine stains and hemangiomas.

Outside of work, Dr. Vaghani lives in Naperville with her husband and 2 young children. They love cooking, baking, dancing, & reading together!

Dr. Tanya Bhattacharya is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in complex medical dermatology, skin cancer detection and treatment, and management of conditions including, but not limited to, rashes, acne, eczema, and psoriasis. As a physician, Dr. Bhattacharya strives to provide patients with the best care possible by listening to their needs and understanding what it is like to be in their shoes. Dr. Bhattacharya suffered from acne and other dermatologic conditions growing up and knows how frustrating these conditions can be to deal with. Together she teams up with her patients to find the best course of treatment that fits their lifestyle and budget.

Born into a large Italian and Irish family, certified physician assistant Megan Connolly values having the opportunity to treat patients of all ages, genders and backgrounds. Dr. Katherine Mercy is a Fellowship-Trained Mohs surgeon and Board-Certified Dermatologist. She earned her doctorate in medicine from Georgetown University and went on to Northwestern / McGaw Medical Center, Children’s Memorial Hospital for dermatology and pediatric residencies where she was Chief Resident. As a physician, Dr. Mercy finds it essential to empower patients by providing them with an understanding of their diagnosis and of the available treatment options.

Dr. Mercy specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery, a specialized, highly effective technique used to track and remove cancerous roots. The goal of Mohs surgery is to remove as much of the skin cancer as possible while doing minimal damage to surrounding healthy tissue. It is recognized as the skin cancer treatment with the highest cure rate – up to 99%, as compared to a cure rate of 85% to 92% for standard skin cancer surgery.

She is thrilled to return to the western suburbs of Chicago, where she grew up, to provide this specialized service to this community.
